BYDMate is an Android app for the BYD DiLink 5.0 head unit (Leopard 3 / Fangchengbao Tai 3). It logs trips, GPS routes, real energy consumption from the BMS, charging sessions, and provides AI-driven driving analytics. No Google Play Services required.
The stock onboard computer underestimates consumption by 10-30%. BYDMate reads data directly from the BMS (energydata SQLite) and shows the real figure. Plus data the stock system does not surface: idle drain, cell balance, trip cost, AI insights.
Core features (trips, charges, automations, local insights, offline voice agent) run entirely on-device and require no internet. Cloud features are off by default and enabled only by entering a key. What leaves the device and when is described in Data & Network.
